Dream Girl for Blog2(Sophia after becoming a human again)

If you have been watching the Vampire Diaries lately, you know that all you need to become human again is to find an ancient elixir, which there is only one by the way, drink it and hope it will magically turn you from a vampire back into a human.  Yawn!!!!!

Don’t get me wrong, I watch the Vampire Diaries every week.  I like the show but I’m beginning to wonder just how many times a vampire can get their neck broken before they stay dead.

However, I digress.  So how does a vampire become human again?  Well you first start off with a really sharp knife and cut the wrist of a vampire, allowing them to bleed to the point where they go into a bloodlust.  Oh yes, I forgot to mention that you should probably chain up the vampire securely before you cut their wrist or else you will be their next meal.

Some of you might ask, “How does putting a vampire into a bloodlust help them become human again?”  That is an excellent question.  And the answer is that it is not so much the issue that you are putting the vampire into a bloodlust, it is however how the vampire reacts while in a bloodlust.

In my book, ‘Faith of a Vampire’, we find out that some vampires would like to become human again. Most believe it is not possible, but that is a lie. There is a process called ‘the path of kohinoor’, where a vampire can become human again. This is a series of trials, specific to each vampire that they must face and overcome.  Only after mastering each of these trials can a vampire have a chance to becoming human again. One of these trials is for the vampire to control their instincts to feed while in a bloodlust.

So you see putting a vampire in a bloodlust is not what is important.  What is important is that they learn to control their thirst for blood while in a bloodlust opposed to letting thirst control them. The time it takes to achieve this goal can vary from vampire to vampire.  For some it can literally take hundreds of times going in and out of a bloodlust before they even begin to control it.

This is just one of many trials a vampire must face when they chooses to go down the path of kohinoor in their attempt to become human again.

For a vampire, becoming human again is no walk in the park. There are many factors involved as to whether or not they can successfully complete each trial necessary to actually becomes human again. For example; the older the vampire is the harder it will be for them to complete each trial. You see older vampires usually have come to embraced their darker side, making it much harder to bring them back to the light to the point where they can become human again.

In my book, Sophia has only been a vampire a short time when she searches for a way to become human again. So naturally you would think it would be easy for her to pass the trials of kohinoor.  But unfortunately Sophia has a secret that even she did not know until she became a vampire.  This secret compelled her to do some—questionable things as a vampire which she ultimately has to face during her trials.

I must tell you that most vampires believe that the path of kohinoor is just a myth.  The vampire council have gone to great lengths to keep it a secret in fear that a civil war might break out among the vampire community. They fear that the vampires that oppose becoming human might try to kill the vampires that want to become human again. Therefore it is has been kept a secret since the first vampire council was formed, and it was decreed that any vampire that is found out seeking the path of kohinoor will be put to death.

Even if a vampire discovers the path of kohinoor without being found out, there are no guarantees that they will be successful.  Many have died during the trials while others have gone mad.

So you see, becoming human again, once you are a vampire, is not as simple as drinking a magical potion.  There is so much more to it.  Find out for yourself in ‘Faith of a Vampire’ where it describes in detail the only way a vampire can actually become human again, or at least try to.

May your days be filled with joy and light,

Mark

With everyone in Hollywood today becoming vampires, few really address the issue that has long been accepted, and that is that vampires have no soul.

It seems that in today version of the vampire, it’s cool to be one of the undead.  Well why not?  You look great all the time, you never sweat, you never age, you have super human abilities, and you are almost immortal.

The female vampire Selene, in the Underworld movies said that she lived for being a Death Dealer.  (Someone who kills Lycans)  And Bella in the Twilight Saga, who became a vampire because she fell in love with one, said in Breaking Dawn part 2, “I was born to be a vampire”.  Interesting choice of words if you ask me.

And let us not forget the Vampire Diaries, where Elena Gilbert was turned into a vampire by Damon.  Of course he did it to save her life and probably out of love for Elena as well.  Now that Damon turned off her emotions, she now seems to be cool with being a vampire.

(Can you really save someone’s life by turning them into a vampire; one of the undead?  A subject we will surly discuss in a later blog.)

So with Hollywood’s new version of a vampire, should we change what we have long believed and give them a soul?  After all, they took away one of the weakness of a vampire in the Twilight movies.  Instead of being burned to death by the sun, vampires now sparkle in the sun.  Everyone seemed to be perfectly fine with that concept because they did make an unprecedented five (5) Twlight movies.

So my poll question is; should today’s vampires have a soul?
